We have Angels to Fight our Battles

Judges 6:12

And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

Dearly beloved, though we are beset at all sides by spiritual adversity in the devil and his wicked spirits, which if one were to face alone, in our own power, would surely defeat us. But we also have spiritual advocacy in a far mightier power: God and his heavenly warriors, the angels, these loyal servants of the Lord never fail in their missions.

The Holy Bible offers many instances of angelic presences in the lives of God's people. God positions angels as ministering spirits dispatched to serve those who will inherit salvation. They are ethereal beings, divine messengers who have been tasked by God to keep watch over us, guide us, and offer us comfort and hope in times of despair.

In Psalm 34:7, it is written: "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them." This verse, my dear brothers and sisters, carries the heartening message of God's unwavering vigilance. It reassures us we are always within the divine embrace of His angels, a reminder that chases away trepidation and fills us with a peace that surpasses human understanding.

Take a moment, dear ones, to close your eyes. Imagine standing amid a celestial camp of angels. Feel their wings of sanctity, whispering words of comfort to assuage your fears; their radiant light breaking through life's darkest storms; their divine strength emboldening your weary heart. This, my brethren, is not mere imaginative spirituality. This is the truth.

Angels do not merely exist in the stories of the Bible or in the paintings adorning our sacred spaces. They dwell among us, in the here and now. They are the divine agents working anonymously in the background of our lives, securing us in the palm of God's hand and establishing His kingdom upon earth.

Remember, when Daniel was thrown into the lion's den, it was an angel that shut the mouths of the lions. When Peter was in prison, an angel broke his chains and led him out. Time and again, we read about these luminous beings interceding in human affairs, carrying out God's will and ensuring the safety of His people.

While we may not always see angels with our physical eyes, it does not negate their existence or their active role in our life. Our faith is the lens through which we discern their presence. We might feel their touch in a sudden breeze, hear their whispers in the rustling leaves, or see their light in the kindness of a stranger.

God's Word encourages us in Hebrews 13:2, "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it." This passage implores us to be kind to everyone, as we may not know when we are entertaining angels.

In conclusion, I want to encourage each of you that you are never alone. You are surrounded by God's celestial hosts, His divine agents working ceaselessly to guide you, protect you, and carry out His will in your life. Feel their presence, their strength, and their love. Let this knowledge comfort you, inspire you, and fill you with holy awe. You are a beloved child of God, and His angels are always with you.

May this message of angelic presence uplift and inspire your spirits. Open your hearts and minds to their divine influence, and allow their guidance to illuminate your paths. Be blessed in the love of God and in the companionship of His angels.
