Created to Embrace the Body God Gave Us

Genesis 1:27

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Today I would like to share with you a message of love, acceptance, and the divine purpose that is deeply entwined within our existence. God, in His infinite wisdom and love, moulded each one of us meticulously and deliberately, including our genders, that they serve as a reflection of His glory and greatness.

It is important to remember that God does not make mistakes. He, in His divine wisdom, created us as men or women, and each one of us has a specific purpose to fulfil. Our genders are not a mistake but a divine fingerprint, reflecting His perfect plan.

Now, embracing holy living is intimately tied to how we embrace our God-given gender and the duties that come with it. We are required to respect and honour the bodies God gave us, for they are temples of the Holy Spirit. As it says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honour God with your bodies."

Our bodies are not just physical entities; they are divine vessels, a significant part of God's plan. Each of us has been given a selfhood that is not ours to alter, but to embrace, cherish, and cultivate into the magnificent creation that God intended us to be.

However, our world today often encourages us to disconnect from our authentic selves and to seek validation from worldly standards. It propagates messages that our worth lies in how we look, what we possess, or the power we hold. But beloved, I tell you today, these are falsehoods. Our genuine worth lies in our identity as children of God, created purposefully in His image.

This does not mean that the journey of acceptance and holy living is free from challenges. Each of us has a cross to carry, battles to fight, mountains to overcome. Yet, these are not meant to break us, but to shape us into the people God wants us to be.

As followers of Christ, our mission should be an authentic expression of our gender, as created by God, in a manner that honours Him. It is in living according to His will that we find true fulfilment, peace, and joy.

Beloved, let us strive to live holy lives. Let us embrace our uniqueness, our God-given genders, and purpose. Let us remember we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that every part of us, down to our very genders, is a part of God's grand design.

May we always choose to live for Him, embracing our true selves, seeking His will in every aspect of our lives. In this way, we not only honour God, but we also find the authentic, holy life that brings true contentment and joy. May God guide us as we journey towards embracing holy living and the gender He created us in His image.
